Face Paint

A one-shot fiction film about a young girl preparing for an arts and crafts day — only to reveal at the very end that her “canvas” is her overdosing mother. This project was both technically and emotionally demanding. I learned gimbal operation on the job and collaborated closely with the director to create a visually cohesive and emotionally powerful continuous take. As colourist, I used subtle grading to support the narrative twist and tonal progression.
